Our History
Founded in 2015 by a team of financial educators and community leaders in Kumasi, Saveloysucd emerged from a recognized need for accessible financial education in Ghana. What began as informal community workshops has grown into a comprehensive training organization that has empowered thousands of individuals to take control of their financial futures.
Over the years, we've refined our approach to address the specific financial challenges faced by our community. Our founder, Emmanuel Owusu, a former bank executive, identified that many traditional financial education programs failed to account for local economic realities and cultural contexts. He assembled a team of experts who shared his vision for culturally-relevant financial education that bridges theoretical knowledge with practical application.
Since our inception, we've expanded from basic savings workshops to a full suite of financial education programs. We're particularly proud of our impact during Ghana's economic fluctuations, where our emergency fund graduates reported significantly lower financial stress and greater stability than their peers. Today, we continue to evolve our curriculum based on community feedback and changing economic conditions.
